As 2011 has seen my musical tastes turn back towards the folkier side of things (perhaps a look back at my musical tastes circa 2008), I was extremely excited to find out about Lord Huron (almost certainly after everyone else ever already knew about them). The centerpiece of the project is Ben Schneider who is from, yes, you guessed it, right here in Michigan, but has been transplanted to Los Angeles. Even though he’s now touring with a live band, it seems to be the case that he recorded the two Lord Huron EPs, Mighty andread more and hear the song
